Using I.C.T in a small business

I.C.T can help small businesses by using:-

Spreadsheets- Spreadsheet can be used to keep information on work staff, Customers, stock etc.

Graphics- Graphics can be used to create things like posters, logos, billboards etc.

Word Processing- word processing can be used to write out emails and letters. You can also use it for templates. These templates include things like brochures, leaflets etc.

Desktop publishing- Desktop publishing creates a template for e.g. leaflet that you can work of to create your own.

Database- A Database can be used to create forms. You can add, amend and delete information within these forms.

Accounts- Accounts can be used to keep information on every sale that has been made. E.g. you can check your earnings at the end of every week.

E-mail- You can use an email to send important information e.g. new stock coming into the business. This email can be sent to work colleges, suppliers etc.

Internet browser- A small business will use the internet to create their own website. This can increase sales as you may be able to advertise your products. Larger businesses may even sell their products from online.

They can also use the internet to look up competitors.
